Authorities and family members are seeking answers after a tragic incident involving a 3-year-old boy who was abandoned at a hospital in New York and subsequently passed away shortly after his arrival.
On the morning of Sunday, March 9, an unidentified woman brought the unresponsive child to SUNY Downstate Medical Center, according to reports from local news sources. The boy, displaying bruises on his face and body, was found in dire condition.
A hospital employee recalled the incident, stating, “I heard that some lady brought in a baby, lifeless. And when the staff asked her what happened, she just left. She had a car parked, waiting for her, and then she was gone.”
The child was later identified as Kyng Davis by his grandmother, Kayatta Foster. Overcome with grief, she expressed her anguish, saying, “I’m the grandmother. It’s hurting me, y’all. I don’t know what to do right now. Whoever did this to my grandson, the grandmother is coming for y’all.”
Foster was accompanied by Kyng’s godmother, Sabrina Johnson, who spoke fondly of the child, describing him as “the cutest little dude you ever wanted to see,” and lamenting the loss of his potential. She added, “You are no longer in pain. God gained an angel, and it’s so sad that it took only three years of him being in the world because he could have had so much more.”
As for the cause of death, an autopsy is pending. However, preliminary examinations indicated that Kyng displayed signs of rigor mortis, suggesting he may have already been dead before arriving at the hospital.
The investigations are ongoing, with the New York Police Department working on the case.
