A man in Florida is alleged to have subjected his pregnant girlfriend to days of abuse before she managed to escape and seek help, according to law enforcement officials.
Anthony Reyes-Enos, 22, has been arrested for reportedly attacking his girlfriend over a span of two days. He faces multiple charges of battery for allegedly punching her in the stomach and hurting her two young children, ages 1 and 2, as stated by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
After finally getting away to call for assistance, the woman claims that Reyes-Enos sent her disturbing photos of their children, which showed signs of injuries including bruises.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they observed that both children had multiple cuts, bruises, and swelling. Emergency medical services were called, and both children, along with their mother, were taken to a local hospital for care.
Reyes-Enos has been charged with several serious offenses, including felony domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery against a pregnant woman, tampering with a 911 call, false imprisonment, and aggravated child abuse.
Currently, he is in custody and a court review to determine whether he is eligible for bail is scheduled for April 9.
