Rapper Nicki Minaj Makes Surprise Appearance at Conservative Conference
Phoenix, Arizona – Rapper Nicki Minaj surprised attendees at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest on Sunday, joining Erika Kirk, the organization’s CEO, for a question-and-answer session.
Minaj, who has previously worked with the Trump White House on religious freedom issues, expressed her admiration for President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. She stated that they possess a special ability to connect with everyday Americans.
“I’m honored to be here,” Minaj said, praising Trump and Vance.
While Minaj has supported Democrats in the past, she has recently voiced support for conservative viewpoints. She has publicly criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom’s policies and expressed concerns about the persecution of Christians abroad.
In November, Minaj shared a post from President Trump highlighting the threats to Christianity in Nigeria. She emphasized the importance of religious freedom and mutual respect, stating, “We live in a country where we can freely worship God. No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion.”
Erika Kirk, who took over as CEO of Turning Point USA after the death of her husband, Charlie Kirk, addressed the conference on Thursday. She spoke about her husband’s legacy as a “peacemaker” and “coalition builder.”
