Miley Cyrus Decides Against Touring “Something Beautiful” for Health Reasons
In a recent interview, Miley Cyrus made it clear that she has no plans to tour her latest album, Something Beautiful. The Grammy-winning artist stated that although she is physically able to perform, she lacks the desire to take the stage.
Cyrus, who last toured back in 2014 with her Bangerz tour, explained that maintaining her sobriety while on the road is a significant challenge. “It’s tough to stay sober on tour,” she said. “Sobriety is really important for my stability.” She emphasized the need for support systems for artists, referencing the intense lifestyles of musicians like Prince, who faced similar struggles.
Cyrus also shared her thoughts on the emotional rollercoaster of live performances. “After shows, you might feel like one person’s love isn’t enough; it has to be from thousands of fans,” she noted. This emotional strain can make it hard to maintain mental wellness during tours.
Although she’s stepping back from touring, Cyrus recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, an honor that she celebrated on social media. She expressed gratitude for this moment, reminiscing about her childhood visits to Hollywood with her family.
Cyrus released Something Beautiful on May 30 and premiered a visual film for the album shortly after. Despite the absence of a tour, her focus remains on creating music that resonates with her journey.
