Duke and Duchess of Sussex Attend James Taylor Concert
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently attended a concert by the legendary singer-songwriter James Taylor. The couple made a special visit backstage on May 13, where they were greeted warmly by Taylor, who shared copies of his children’s book, Sweet Baby James, with them.
On May 14, Meghan posted several photos from the concert on her Instagram, expressing her excitement with the caption, "In my concert era ❤️🎶 Thanks James!" In one of the images, Taylor is seen signing copies of his book, inspired by his nephew James. The book, along with a song also titled Sweet Baby James, has a charming backstory that resonates with young readers, particularly as the Sussexes have their own children, Archie and Lilibet.
For the event, Meghan chose a simple navy sweater paired with a black skirt, while Harry opted for a casual gray t-shirt, a matching peacoat, black jeans, and a beanie to complete his look.
James Taylor, a well-known figure in music history, made his mark in the 1970s with hits like "Fire and Rain" and "You’ve Got a Friend." His influence and songwriting skill have made him a beloved artist for many generations.
Just a few days before the concert, Meghan and Harry were spotted enjoying another evening out at Beyoncé’s concert in Los Angeles. Meghan later shared her gratitude on Instagram, highlighting the fun atmosphere of the night and giving a nod to her favorite artist.
In a heartwarming touch, Meghan also showcased Harry’s cowboy hat from the concert, which had their children’s names monogrammed inside along with a sweet message, “My Love,” a nickname Harry affectionately uses for Meghan.
Since their wedding in 2018 and subsequent move to California in 2020, the couple has embraced new ventures, including Meghan’s recent launch of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, which quickly gained popularity with consumers.
