A birthday party took a tragic turn in Carver, Massachusetts, when a shooting occurred, leaving two men dead and two others hurt. The incident happened at a social club where a child’s birthday was being celebrated.
Police were called to the scene. They found four people had been shot. Sadly, two of them, Benjamin Cowart, 27, and Jalen Pina, 20, died from their injuries. The other two, men aged 28 and 32, were taken to the hospital and are in serious condition.
A 23-year-old man named Nicholas Meuse has been arrested and is facing murder charges. Police say they found him nearby the scene.
The police believe this was not a random act and that the shooting was targeted. The Carver Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police are still working to figure out exactly what happened and why.
