Madison Prewett, known from “The Bachelor,” recently shared her personal journey of overcoming what she calls “secret sexual sin.” Speaking on a podcast, Prewett explained how, from a young age, she struggled with pornography and masturbation, which led to feelings of shame and secrecy.
Prewett described living a “double life” during her middle and high school years. Publicly, she presented herself as someone committed to saving herself for marriage, while privately battling these issues. It wasn’t until college that she felt able to share her struggles and begin to break free from this cycle.
She emphasized the importance of confessing one’s sins, even when it feels difficult. Prewett believes that often, people fear judgment or rejection if they reveal their struggles. However, she found that sharing her burdens brought relief and freedom. She encourages others to bring their secret sins “into the light” by talking about them with trusted friends or mentors.
Prewett, who married pastor Grant Troutt in 2022, has spoken about her faith and how it has helped her overcome these challenges. She highlights the importance of community and support in breaking free from addictive behaviors.
