Macy’s is gearing up to celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular 4th of July fireworks display in New York City. This year marks the 49th edition of America’s largest July 4th celebration, set to air live on NBC. The event will feature a lineup of talented performers, including the Jonas Brothers, Eric Church, Lenny Kravitz, Ava Max, Keke Palmer, and Trisha Yearwood.
The fireworks show promises to dazzle with over 80,000 shells in a variety of 30 colors, along with modern projection effects on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. The display will last for 25 minutes and will be choreographed to a special musical score created by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and James Poyser. Known for her Broadway talent, Ariana DeBose will serve as the host for this festive event.
Fireworks will be launched from four barges on the East River, with pyrotechnics reaching heights of 1,000 feet. This year’s show will also pay homage to the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
According to Will Coss, executive producer of the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, the event serves to unite millions of Americans in a shared tradition, creating lasting memories.
Viewers can catch the show on NBC or through a live simulcast on Peacock from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. A Spanish-language broadcast will be available on Telemundo at 9 p.m. ET.
Expect a stunning array of fireworks, including unique shapes like crown jellyfish and atomic rings, as well as vibrant sunbursts and cascading lights.
