Dolph Lundgren, known for his role as Ivan Drago in “Rocky IV,” recently spoke about a famous moment from the movie. He admitted feeling bad about accidentally hurting Sylvester Stallone during their intense fight scene.
Lundgren explained that during the filming of the fight, which lasted two weeks, both actors were taking hits. It wasn’t until after he returned home that he learned Stallone was in the hospital. He felt guilty, especially since Stallone, as the director, had encouraged him to go all out. Lundgren believes either his punches, his size, or just plain exhaustion contributed to Stallone’s injury.
Before becoming a movie star, Lundgren was actually a very smart student, even studying at MIT. But after meeting interesting people like Andy Warhol and Michael Jackson in New York, he decided to try acting. His first big break was “Rocky IV,” which led to a successful career in action movies.
Even with nearly 100 movies under his belt, Lundgren says his favorite role was playing Drago again in “Creed II.” This movie allowed him to show a different side of the character, focusing on the relationship between Drago and his son.
Lundgren has also started his own vodka brand called Hard Cut Vodka. He said he created it because he couldn’t find a vodka he truly enjoyed.
