Lucy Hale, known for her role in the popular series Pretty Little Liars, recently appeared on Buzzfeed to discuss her latest film *F** Marry Kill. During a segment called “The Puppy Interview,” she shared some interesting details about her past auditions.
When asked about surprising roles she auditioned for, Hale revealed she tried out for several big projects, including Pitch Perfect, Hairspray, and even Hannah Montana. In fact, she confirmed she auditioned for the role that eventually went to Miley Cyrus. "I remember that audition,” she said. “It was a taped audition in Tennessee. It was the audition that made me want to be an actress. I remember that vividly, it was very cool."
Reflecting on her long journey in Los Angeles, Hale remarked, "For every ‘yes’ to an audition, there are like 200 ‘no’s.’ I should probably go back and look at all the things I’ve auditioned for."
Hale, who began her acting career with a small part on Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh, shared a funny memory from that time. "I had one word on Drake and Josh at 15. I was so nervous. My character’s name was Hazel, and the scene was just me answering Drake’s character’s question," she joked about the simplicity of her role.
Despite the ups and downs of her career, Hale keeps in touch with her Pretty Little Liars co-stars, noting, "We have a big group chat with the whole cast. It’s great to see everyone doing different things, and we’ve been talking about having a reunion."
As for her latest film, *F** Marry Kill, it’s now available in select theaters and on digital platforms, showing that Hale continues to be a notable figure in the entertainment industry.
