Alysa Liu, a famous figure skater, has decided to change the music for her short program.
The skater, who is aiming for the 2026 Winter Olympics, had planned to use the song “This Is How It Feels” by d4vd and Laufey. But after news came out about an investigation involving the singer d4vd, she’s decided to go in a different direction.
Alysa shared on Instagram that she and her team are working on a new program that better fits her values. She mentioned that it might take some time, so fans might see some of her older routines for now.
This change comes after police looked into d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, following the death of a 15-year-old girl who was found in his car. Police searched a property linked to him as part of the investigation.
Alysa Liu is a well-known figure in skating. Earlier this year, she made history as the first American woman in nearly two decades to win the World Figure Skating Championships. She had previously taken a break from skating after the 2022 Olympics but returned to the sport in March 2024.
