A life coach from Tennessee, previously convicted of fraud, is facing serious criminal charges, including child rape. Gordon Grigg, aged 61, was indicted on various sex crime charges in June 2024, according to officials in Franklin, Tennessee. The charges include aggravated rape of a child, identity theft, and crimes against animals, among others.
Law enforcement claims that Grigg used his life coaching role to connect with potential victims and suspect that more victims may be involved in the case. Before these charges, Grigg had served time in federal prison after admitting guilt to multiple fraud charges back in 2009. He was released in 2014.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission previously reported that Grigg, who claimed to be a financial planner and investment advisor, swindled at least 27 clients out of around $6.5 million by pretending to invest their money in non-existent securities.
In addition to the other allegations, Grigg is also accused of stealing the identities of two clients to facilitate his crimes. Reports indicate that he directed two adults to engage in sexual acts with children and allegedly encouraged them to have sexual interactions with a dog, including an undercover agent.
Grigg’s trial is set to take place in October.
