She shared, “I had been seeing someone for a very long time and we hadn’t seen each other for a while, and he called and asked if I wanted to go for a walk. I thought it was a good idea, even though I was nervous. Just as I was getting ready, a small bird hit my window, and I was stunned. I rushed to see it and felt a wave of emotion.”
Del Rey described how this experience felt like a moment of communication from nature itself, affirming that some things are meant to happen. “When I picked it up, I just wanted to hold it and pray it would be okay. In that moment, I sang ‘little bird fly away’ for both of us.”
