Los Angeles is coming together to support those affected by the recent wildfires with the creation of the “LA Strong” logo and apparel line. This initiative, a collaborative effort involving several local sports organizations, aims to raise funds for groups assisting victims.
On Friday, Fanatics announced that T-shirts featuring the new “LA Strong” logo will be available for purchase on various team and league online stores, as well as Fanatics’ official website. The project has brought together eight different sports leagues, the University of Southern California, and the organizing committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
All proceeds from this campaign will be donated to the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. Additionally, LA Strong hoodies will be launched in the coming weeks.
Michael Rubin, the founder of Fanatics, expressed profound concern over the continuing crisis in Los Angeles, stating it’s heartbreaking to see the devastation affecting so many lives. He emphasized the importance of using their platform to rally support for the community during this difficult time.
The initiative includes participation from renowned professional teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, Chargers, Clippers, Sparks, Angels, Kings, and several others. Teams across multiple leagues, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, and various women’s leagues, are uniting under this cause.
As the fires wreak havoc, this effort showcases the resilience of the Los Angeles community and reflects how sports can play a role in helping those in need.
