Amanda Knox, who was once wrongly accused of murder, went back to Italy in 2022. During this trip, she met with the lawyer who had tried to put her in jail. Her husband made a movie about this experience.
The movie, called Mouth of the Wolf: Amanda Knox Returns to Italy, is coming to Hulu on January 26. It shows Knox going back to the place where she was imprisoned.
Back in 2008, Knox was a student in Italy. She was found guilty of killing her roommate, Meredith Kercher. Kercher was attacked and killed in 2007.
Knox and her boyfriend at the time, Raffaele Sollecito, were the main suspects. They were both found guilty but were later declared innocent and freed.
Someone else, Rudy Guede, was also found guilty of the murder in 2008. His DNA was found where the crime happened.
Since being freed, Knox has become a writer and helps people. She has two kids with her husband, Christopher Robinson, who she married in 2020.
Robinson directed Mouth of the Wolf. The movie gives people a close look at Knox’s story.
The movie follows Knox as she speaks at a conference in Italy. It ends with her meeting Giuliano Mignini, the lawyer who tried her case almost 20 years ago.
Knox was let out of prison in 2011 after her conviction was canceled. In 2015, she was declared completely innocent.
Guede was first sentenced to 30 years in jail, but it was later reduced to 16 years. He was let out three years early in 2021.
