Rapper Kid Cudi is set to testify at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial this week. Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, previously dated Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, who testified last week about their relationship.
Cassie and Diddy had a lengthy relationship that lasted 11 years before it ended in 2018. In her testimony, she shared that her relationship with Cudi occurred when things were rocky between her and Diddy.
Cassie mentioned that Diddy learned about her dating Cudi during what she described as a “Freak Off.” During this confrontation, Diddy allegedly lunged at her, wielding a wine opener. She recalled feeling very threatened as Diddy became furious about her relationship with Cudi, even suggesting he would blow up Cudi’s car so that his friends could see it.
Cassie further testified about an incident where Diddy kicked her, resulting in bruises on her back and other areas of her body. She described how he kicked her before she left the scene in distress.
While the legal issues involving Diddy, including charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, do not directly mention these threats, they illustrate a pattern of troubling behavior.
Interestingly, Cassie’s 2023 lawsuit against Diddy, which was quickly settled, referenced his jealousy over Kid Cudi and noted that Cudi’s car did indeed catch fire in his driveway back in 2012.
If found guilty, Diddy could face severe consequences, including life imprisonment.
