Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s relationship has once again captured the public’s affection. The beloved couple became a trending topic in May 2024 after a lighthearted prank was pulled by a crew member on the set of Bacon’s latest series, The Bondsman.
While preparing for work, Bacon walked into his trailer to discover a playful surprise: multiple pictures of his wife, Kyra Sedgwick. He humorously noted that someone from the crew had "snuck in" to make his space feel more homely. In Bacon’s words, he didn’t see it as a prank but rather a "sweet, kind gesture."
The 66-year-old actor expressed how this cute surprise made him reflect a bit. "I went in there and thought, ‘I didn’t put that picture up,’" Bacon shared. He typically enjoys adding personal touches to his trailer, but with the fast pace of filming, he hadn’t found the time this go around.
Bacon emphasized the importance of maintaining a respectful and peaceful working atmosphere, while also focusing on the job at hand. “Every day is a challenge to get everything done, but it’s been good,” he remarked.
Bacon and Sedgwick have been a couple since September 1988 and share two adult children, Sosie and Travis. Though Sedgwick and their kids weren’t behind the recent prank, last year they teamed up for their own horror-themed surprise for Bacon, creatively placing a fake arrow painted red on his chest while he napped.
Reflecting on these playful moments, Bacon labeled the prank a "close call," especially given his long history in the horror genre, which includes his iconic role in Friday the 13th.
