Keanu Reeves Gets Stolen Items Back
Some things that were stolen from actor Keanu Reeves’ house in 2023 have been found and returned to him.
The FBI said that they worked with police in Chile to get the items back. These included a special Rolex watch from the “John Wick” movies.
The FBI also said that they are looking into other robberies that might be connected to the same group of thieves.
The stolen items were taken from Reeves’ home in a jewelry theft.
The FBI said that Reeves wrote a thank-you note to them, saying he was very grateful for their help.
Chilean police said they would give back Reeves’ stolen things, including six expensive watches, in July.
One of the watches is a Rolex Submariner that is worth at least $9,500. But the total value of all the watches is about $125,000, according to a Chilean police officer.
Police said that Reeves confirmed the watches were the ones stolen from his home in Los Angeles in December 2023. The watches were found in eastern Santiago in December 2024. One person was arrested in connection with the robberies.
An FBI official said that this case shows how well the FBI works with police in Chile and Los Angeles.
The FBI also said that they are working with the Los Angeles Police Department to share information about these kinds of crimes. They said that these crimes affect both famous people and regular people, and they are committed to stopping them.
The FBI said that the theft was done by “South American Theft Groups,” which are groups of criminals from South America who travel to the United States and other countries to steal things.
The FBI is looking into other crimes linked to these groups.
In August, Reeves met with FBI agents and a Chilean police officer in New York to get his stolen items back.
The Los Angeles Police Chief said that this case shows how important it is for police to work together around the world to catch these thieves.
