Kathy Griffin Voices Concerns Over Election Integrity
Comedian Kathy Griffin has expressed doubts about the legitimacy of President Donald Trump’s win in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. In a recent conversation streamed on her YouTube channel with writer E. Jean Carroll, Griffin stated, “People believe I’m crazy for saying this, but I don’t think he won in a free and fair election.” She acknowledged that she might face backlash for her opinion but emphasized the importance of sharing her thoughts.
Griffin has known Trump for decades, dating back to his days on “The Apprentice.” Despite her long-standing connection, she admitted skepticism toward the election process. She mentioned that even at 64, she’s unafraid to voice her concerns, saying, “I just had to put that out there because I can’t resist getting in trouble.”
During her talk, Griffin also expressed suspicion about Elon Musk’s involvement with Trump’s administration and mentioned that she doesn’t trust the connection. Musk, who was tasked with cutting significant amounts from the federal budget, announced his departure from that role recently, adding fuel to Griffin’s concerns.
Carroll, who has accused Trump of past misconduct, shared her agreement with Griffin’s feelings, noting that many people feel similarly about the election outcome. She questioned the fairness of Trump’s success in key states, saying, “It doesn’t sit right with me.”
In a separate discussion with CNN’s Don Lemon, Griffin reiterated her stance, declaring that she believes election tampering occurred. This line of conversation seems to resonate with some, as Americans remain divided over the integrity of recent elections.
As the 2024 election draws closer, conversations about its fairness and transparency will likely continue, reflecting deep concerns about the democratic process.
