A woman who went missing earlier this month has been found dead in a wooded area, and authorities suspect foul play.
Joyce Gomez, 38, was last seen on the evening of April 25 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The local police began their investigation the following day, teaming up with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
During their search, the authorities found indicators that suggested foul play might have been involved. This led them to discover Gomez’s body shortly after.
Joyce had recently moved to Pass Christian in February, and her friends are deeply mourning her loss. One friend expressed heartbreak, saying, “I will miss you forever, Joyce. You were an amazing friend. May you rest in peace and know that justice will be served.”
Another friend reflected on her wonderful qualities, stating, “Joyce was a great mom and an amazing person.”
Authorities are still investigating the case and anticipate making an arrest soon. However, as of now, there have been no updates on any arrests. The police have not released further details at this time.
