Jon Taffer Opens New Tavern in Orlando, Celebrates Tourism and Community
Jon Taffer, the well-known bar expert from the reality TV show “Bar Rescue,” has officially opened Taffer’s Tavern in Orlando. The grand opening took place on October 15, 2025, attracting a crowd eager to experience this fresh addition to the city’s vibrant entertainment scene.
Located on International Drive—Orlando’s bustling tourist hub—Taffer’s Tavern is just a stone’s throw away from the Orange County Convention Center and new attractions like the Universal Epic Universe. Taffer expressed his admiration for Orlando, calling it “a jewel of America” due to its significant tourism and global appeal. He emphasized the importance of contributing to such a key location, stating, “We represent a piece of America here to the world.”
Taffer, who has visited Orlando since the early 1970s, took an active role during the opening by engaging with guests and overseeing operations alongside his wife. Taffer’s Tavern promises a unique experience with a menu that features dishes and cocktails made with his signature Browned Butter Bourbon—a concept developed during “Bar Rescue.”
The new tavern aims to offer an elevated dining experience, set against the backdrop of Orlando’s energetic and diverse environment. Franchisee Nilesh Patel shared his excitement about the location, saying it provides the perfect atmosphere for an innovative tavern concept.
Taffer also announced that a new season of “Bar Rescue” is on the horizon, along with plans to open another Taffer’s Tavern location in Atlanta in the coming weeks.
