Angelina Jolie, the famous actress, might be leaving Hollywood behind for a life overseas. She’s reportedly been waiting for her youngest children, twins Vivienne and Knox, to turn 18 before making the move. They will reach that milestone in July.
A source said that Jolie has never really wanted to live in Los Angeles permanently. She felt she needed to stay there because of her custody arrangement with Brad Pitt.
Jolie has been looking at different places to live outside the U.S. A big reason for this move is her children. She wants them to have privacy, peace, and safety. She has mentioned spending time in Cambodia, where she adopted her first child, Maddox, and also visiting family around the world.
She adopted two more children, Zahara and Pax, after she started her relationship with Pitt. Pitt later adopted all three children. Jolie and Pitt also have three biological children together: Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.
Jolie has said that her decision to adopt was something she felt personally, because she knew there were kids that didn’t have parents.
Jolie has also voiced concerns about the direction of the United States. She has expressed that she feels disconnected from the country. She has said that anything that divides people or limits their freedoms is dangerous.
In the past, Jolie has been critical of American policies. For example, she wrote an opinion piece in 2017 against President Donald Trump’s immigration ban, arguing that while security is important, the policy would cause more harm than good by judging people based on where they come from or their religion.
