Jessa Duggar: Her Life After Reality TV
Jessa Duggar, once a beloved star on the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting, has continued to make a name for herself since leaving the spotlight. She gained fame in 2008 as one of the 19 children in the Duggar family. Following the show, she also appeared in the spinoff Counting On until 2021.
Since marrying Ben Seewald on November 1, 2014, Jessa has embraced her dream of having a large family. The couple has welcomed six children: Spurgeon, born in November 2015; Henry, in February 2017; Ivy, in May 2019; Fern, in July 2021; and George, born in December 2023. Their latest addition arrived in August 2025, though their newest child’s name and gender have not yet been announced.
Jessa has often spoken about the inspiration she draws from her mother, Michelle Duggar. She admires her mother as a role model and has expressed a desire to emulate her parenting style. Despite this, Jessa has made it clear that she does not plan to have 19 children like her parents.
The Duggar family has faced their share of controversy over the years, including serious allegations against Jessa’s brother, Josh. In 2015, both Jessa and her sister Jill came forward as victims, highlighting the difficulty of reconciling their experiences with their public image. Jessa has been open about her feelings regarding these events and defended her family’s privacy on numerous occasions.
After Counting On ended amid more scandals related to Josh, Jessa shifted her focus to her family and content creation. She has developed a robust online presence, sharing insights about motherhood and family life with her followers on social media. As of 2025, Jessa has over 2.5 million Instagram followers and more than 280,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
Alongside her role as a mother, Ben Seewald currently serves as an elder at Immanuel Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas. Together, they balance their faith, family, and public personas.
On a personal note, Jessa continues to embrace her independence from the religious practices of her upbringing. In a recent Instagram Q&A, she confirmed that she and Ben do not follow the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP), showing a shift towards a more contemporary lifestyle.
Today, Jessa and her family live in a renovated home in Springdale, not far from her childhood roots. She shares updates about their home projects, family life, and daily joys on social media, giving fans a glimpse into her world beyond the TV screen. Jessa Duggar is indeed carving her own path while cherishing her family values.
