Jenna Bush Hager has recently shared some heartwarming memories from her life as she co-hosted the Thursday edition of “Today with Jenna & Friends” alongside her husband, Henry Chase Hager. The couple, who have been happily married for nearly two decades, reflected on their early days together during the show.
Jenna, now 43, and Henry tied the knot at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, on May 10, 2008. At that time, she made history as the first daughter of a sitting U.S. president to marry in 16 years. Their relationship blossomed while her father, George W. Bush, was still in office, making their love story all the more interesting.
During the broadcast, Jenna remembered their first kiss, revealing it was to a song by Lil’ Troy, a popular rapper from back in the day. Laughing, she shared how Henry made his move. “I went in for the kiss,” he quipped, adding a playful twist about their different perspectives on that moment.
As the conversation moved forward, Jenna joked about their memories, teasing Henry about the “walk of shame” from the White House, causing him to blush. The couple shares three children: daughters Mila, 11, and Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5.
In a delightful recount, Jenna also reflected on how Henry proposed to her at the top of Cadillac Mountain in Maine’s Acadia National Park. Despite being in a “cranky” mood, they took a moment to pause, which turned into an unforgettable proposal.
Through laughter and nostalgia, Jenna and Henry continue to share their journey as a couple while raising their family, captivating audiences with their relatable and genuine moments.
