Vice President JD Vance Discusses Future Goals and Leadership Style
In a recent interview on My View with Lara Trump, Vice President JD Vance hinted at the possibility of running for president in 2028, though he emphasized his current responsibilities. He stated, “If I do my job well, the politics will take care of itself.”
Vance, who has gained public support thanks to his determined rise from a challenging childhood, expressed that he is focused on doing his best in his position, rather than thinking about future political ambitions. He stated, “The American people are tired of leaders who are already campaigning for their next position even while they’re still in office.”
When asked about a potential presidential campaign, Vance acknowledged the competition, saying, “There are many great candidates. If I decide to run, it won’t be handed to me. I will have to work hard for it.” He emphasized that his role as Vice President is one of the most important in his life, second only to being a father to his three children.
Vance also shared his thoughts on the Democratic candidates he might face in 2028, commenting that they generally have poor track records that could affect their chances.
Acknowledging President Donald Trump’s strong work ethic and leadership style, Vance noted that the President often communicates late into the night and early morning, showing a commitment to his work that inspires those around him. “The President doesn’t have an off switch,” Vance said with admiration, adding that Trump’s ability to delegate tasks effectively has been a remarkable aspect of their working relationship.
Overall, Vance appears dedicated to his current role and values the importance of focusing on immediate responsibilities while leaving future political considerations open for the time being.
