Actor James Woods has shared the good news that his home in Pacific Palisades has managed to withstand the recent wildfires that have heavily affected his neighborhood. In a heartfelt message on social media, Woods expressed his relief, stating, “A miracle has happened. We managed to get to our property and our home, which we were told was gone forever, is still standing.”
While he acknowledged the damage surrounding his property, he noted that the condition of his home, although not perfect, was far better than the total destruction faced by many others nearby. Woods remarked, “In this hellish landscape ‘standing’ is relative, but smoke and other damage is not like the utter destruction around us.”
Earlier this week, like many others in Los Angeles, Woods had to evacuate due to the escalating fires. He frequently updated his followers with posts showing the charred remnants of homes around him, fearing that his own house would meet the same fate. In a later post, he thanked those who reached out to him for their kind messages, saying, “I’m so happy and grateful, but honestly, the entire area looks like the dark side of the moon.”
The wildfires have not only affected Woods but also numerous other celebrities, with reports indicating that several stars, including Paris Hilton and Billy Crystal, have lost their homes or suffered significant damage. The fires have resulted in at least ten fatalities and have destroyed thousands of properties and vehicles.
