Jennifer Lopez and her 17-year-old child, Emme Maribel Muñiz, had a memorable evening at a Broadway event. The duo stepped out in stylish matching black outfits with a touch of vintage velvet charm for the debut performance of a new show led by George Clooney, who previously shared the screen with Lopez in the 1998 film, Out Of Sight.
Lopez recently attended the revival of Shakespeare’s Othello, featuring stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Denzel Washington. In an Instagram post, she described her time with Emme as "the best date," showing the deep bond they share.
Throughout her career, Lopez has emphasized her unconditional love for her children. She expressed pride in their uniqueness and excitement for their futures, stating, “It’s unconditional love… I feel like they’re super special.” She and her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, welcomed Emme and her twin brother, Max, in 2008.
Clooney, now 63, is performing in Good Night, and Good Luck, a stage adaptation of his 2005 film. He helped adapt the script and plays journalist Edward R. Murrow, chronicling Murrow’s efforts to expose the corruption of Senator Joseph McCarthy. Clooney’s depiction honors his father’s background in journalism, emphasizing the crucial role of the media in holding power accountable.
"This is a pivotal moment to recognize how essential journalism is," Clooney said, reflecting on the current climate. "We need to remember the times when people bravely stood up to power.”
Clooney’s Broadway debut is exciting, as he previously acted in Los Angeles and Chicago, earning his first agent for his role in Vicious, which told the story of British punk musician Sid Vicious.
Tickets for Good Night, and Good Luck are now available for purchase, with the show running until June 8.
