European Union Considers Action Against Iranian Revolutionary Guard
Brussels – The European Union is considering new sanctions against Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. This action follows concerns about the government’s response to recent protests.
The United States has already taken steps in the Middle East, with ships moved into the area. While former President Trump had warned about potential military action if Iran harmed protesters.
The EU’s possible move comes as Iran’s economy faces challenges. The country’s currency has fallen in value. The protests were initially sparked by economic problems.
Some European leaders believe that if the Revolutionary Guard acts like a terrorist group, it should be treated as such.
France had concerns about the impact on its citizens in Iran. However, the French government now seems to support the sanctions. The French Foreign Minister stated that the crackdown on the Iranian people could not be ignored.
