Bryan Kohberger’s Life in Jail: Insights from a Cellmate
Bryan Kohberger, accused of a serious crime, has been making headlines while awaiting his trial at the Latah County Jail. Despite being a well-known figure for his alleged actions, he has managed to keep a relatively low profile.
A report from Cpl. Brett Payne of the Moscow Police Department shed some light on Kohberger’s behavior through an inmate who shared a cell with him. According to the inmate, Kohberger had some habits that were a bit bothersome but wasn’t aggressive during their time together. The two only had one minor disagreement.
The inmate described Kohberger as “highly intelligent and polite.” Interestingly, he never discussed the murders he is accused of, even though he asked other inmates about their offenses.
One notable aspect of Kohberger’s daily routine was his bathing habits. The inmate reported that Kohberger would spend between 45 minutes to an hour in the shower and wash his hands multiple times throughout the day. He was often awake at night, moving around the cell, which made it a challenge for the inmate to rest.
The only time the inmate saw Kohberger show any anger was due to a misunderstanding. While he was speaking to his mother on the phone, someone in the jail shouted at a TV during a sports game. Kohberger misinterpreted the comment as directed at him and confronted the man. However, they were able to resolve the misunderstanding quickly.
Kohberger is currently being held by the Idaho Department of Corrections, awaiting his next steps in the legal process.
