A group called Indivisible is planning another big protest on March 28, calling it “No Kings 3.” They’re upset about current policies, especially in Minnesota, where there’s been a lot of talk about immigration.
Indivisible, a group known for its liberal views, says people all over the country will be protesting. They’re planning a big march in the Twin Cities.
Ezra Levin, a leader at Indivisible, thinks this could be a huge event, maybe even the biggest protest ever in America. He says people are worried about what’s happening in the country.
Minnesota has become a key place for these protests because the federal government has sent many agents there to deal with immigration issues. Some people are not happy about this.
Even though the protests were planned before, recent events in Minnesota have made things even more tense. Some people were shot during encounters with federal agents, and this has made the protesters even more determined.
The people organizing the protests say they’re worried about the government having too much power. They had two other big protests last year, with many people showing up in cities and towns across the country.
The first “No Kings” protest was in June of last year, after some problems with immigration raids and the military being sent to Los Angeles.
Levin says his group will keep working even after these big protests are over. They want to keep an eye on what’s happening with immigration and train people to do the same.
Levin also says this isn’t just about Republicans against Democrats. He believes it’s about whether the country will stay a place where everyone has a say.
