Melody Rose Greenwood, 38, and Adam Jon Greenwood, 36, face initial charges for neglecting their child, raising alarms about the welfare of their family.
The disturbing claims first came to light when the young boy was taken to Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where doctors assessed him as “extremely skinny.” He was evaluated for possible nutritional neglect, prompting further investigations into his home life. Based on findings from medical professionals, the Muncie Police were alerted to the situation, bringing the alleged abuse into the public eye.
Witnesses, including the child’s seven siblings, disclosed that the 10-year-old was routinely fed only limited, canned foods like beans, tomatoes, and soup, while the rest of the family enjoyed regular meals which included cheeseburgers and fast food.
