Emails Reveal Repeated Warnings Ignored
The tragic death of Stephanie Minter, allegedly at the hands of Abdul Jalloh, a 32-year-old illegal immigrant from Sierra Leone, is a stark reminder of the consequences of prioritizing political correctness over public safety. Newly released emails show the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) practically begged the office of Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano to take action against Jalloh. These warnings went unheeded.
Jalloh, who entered the country in 2012, had amassed over 30 arrests for crimes ranging from assault and drug possession to rape and malicious wounding. Yet, time and again, these charges were either dropped or he received lenient sentences.
A Fairfax County police major even wrote to Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Jenna Sands, stating that Jalloh “is one of the repeat (and violent) offenders” they had discussed before. The officer worried, “it is not a question of if, but rather when he will maliciously wound (or worse) again.”
Soros-Backed Prosecutors to Blame?
Why were these warnings ignored? Look no further than the radical, left-wing policies pushed by figures like Steve Descano. Descano, backed by George Soros, has implemented policies that favor criminals over victims. His office seems more interested in social justice experiments than in keeping law-abiding citizens safe.
Let’s be clear: Jalloh’s extensive criminal history was no secret. An FCPD employee noted that Jalloh had over 100 incidents with police, including multiple stabbings. In one email, an officer described Jalloh as having “a blatant disregard for human life and is a danger to the community.”
Governor Plays Politics, Refuses to Cooperate with ICE
Despite this mountain of evidence and the horrific outcome, Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger is doubling down on her dangerous policies. She refuses to honor an ICE detainer, meaning she won’t allow federal authorities to take custody of Jalloh for deportation.
Spanberger even ended cooperation between state agencies and federal immigration authorities, claiming concerns about “chaotic federal law enforcement actions.” DHS rightfully slammed Spanberger, accusing her of fighting to protect a murderer over American citizens. DHS argued the governor is releasing “criminal illegal aliens” into Virginia communities to commit more crimes.
What does it say about our leaders when they prioritize the rights of illegal immigrants with violent criminal histories over the safety of their own citizens? When will we demand accountability from these politicians who seem more concerned with appeasing the radical left than upholding their oath to protect and serve?
