A woman in Texas is in trouble after her boyfriend was shot and killed on Christmas Eve.
Police say they got a call about a shooting at a home in Bexar County, Texas. When they arrived, they found a 42-year-old man who was not breathing. They tried to save him, but he died at the scene.
Officers arrested 36-year-old Courtney Renee Hooper in connection with the man’s death. The man’s name hasn’t been released to the public.
According to investigators, Hooper and the man were dating. They got into an argument about a cell phone and a car, and things got so heated that the shooting happened.
Hooper reportedly gave the police a video, saying it would prove she was innocent. However, the sheriff’s office claims the video actually makes her look more guilty. They say it shows some of the fight that led to the shooting.
Authorities also mentioned that there were children in the house when the shooting occurred, but they didn’t say how old they were or how they were related to the people involved.
The sheriff’s office also noted that they had been called to the home before because of domestic issues.
Hooper is now facing a charge of first-degree murder. Her bond has been set at $150,000. It’s not clear if she has a lawyer yet.
