## Terror Suspect with Ties to Jihad Movement Arrested After Being Released into U.S.
The Biden administration’s border policies are facing renewed scrutiny after a man with alleged terrorist ties was apprehended in the United States. Akhror Bozorov, a citizen of Uzbekistan wanted in his home country for suspected links to a terrorist group, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) earlier this month.
This arrest raises serious concerns about the vetting process for individuals entering the country and the potential risks to national security. Bozorov’s case highlights the ongoing debate surrounding border security and the need for stricter enforcement measures to protect American citizens.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Bozorov, 31, entered the U.S. illegally in 2023 via the southern border. Despite being apprehended by Border Patrol at the time, he was released into the country under the Biden administration’s policies. It was later found that the man had been issued work papers in January of last year.
Uzbekistan had issued an arrest warrant for Bozorov in 2022, accusing him of being a member of a terrorist organization, spreading jihadist propaganda online, and recruiting individuals for the jihad movement. At the time of his arrest in Kansas on November 9th, Bozorov was working as a commercial truck driver.
“Uzbekistan authorities issued an arrest warrant for Bozorov in 2022 for being a member of a terrorist organization. He is accused of distributing terrorist propaganda calling for jihad online and recruiting terrorists to join the jihad movement,” stated a DHS press release.
Adding another layer of concern, Bozorov had been issued a commercial driver’s license (CDL) by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro after his release into the United States. This revelation has sparked outrage and questions about the state’s vetting procedures for commercial drivers, especially those with questionable backgrounds.
“Not only was Akhror Bozorov—a wanted terrorist—RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration, but he was also given a commercial driver’s license by Governor Shapiro’s Pennsylvania. This should go without saying, but terrorist illegal aliens should not be operating 18-wheelers on America’s highways,” stated DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
Bozorov’s case is not an isolated incident. Concerns have been raised about the increasing number of illegal immigrants obtaining CDLs, potentially posing a significant threat to public safety.
The arrest of Bozorov and others like him underscores the urgent need for comprehensive immigration reform that prioritizes national security. Critics argue that the current administration’s policies have created a porous border, allowing individuals with criminal records and potential terrorist ties to enter the country unchecked.
Many believe that securing the border, enforcing existing immigration laws, and thoroughly vetting individuals seeking entry are essential steps to protect American communities from potential threats. The Bozorov case serves as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of failing to prioritize border security and the need for responsible immigration policies that safeguard the nation. It is important that leaders take action and protect our citizens and land.
