Hawke and Paltrow starred together in the 1998 movie “Great Expectations.” Hawke said he had hoped their first kiss would be more special than a silly game. He admitted he wanted to kiss her, but not because someone dared them to.

Paltrow even remembered the exact moment of their first kiss, saying it happened during Truth or Dare at Hawke’s apartment.
Hawke also mentioned that Paltrow refused to do a scene in “Great Expectations” that was too explicit. She felt it was too much, and her father would have been upset.
In the movie, Hawke played a painter who was in love with Paltrow’s character.
