Meghan Markle Celebrates Romance with Prince Harry
Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, recently shared a personal glimpse into her relationship with Prince Harry. In a social media post, she included a recent video of the couple dancing, alongside a throwback photo from their early days in 2016.
Markle’s post participated in a social media trend where people share nostalgic photos from ten years ago. The video showed the couple dancing on a lawn, and Markle credited their daughter, Princess Lilibet, for filming it. The throwback photo appeared to be from their trip to Botswana, Africa, shortly after they began dating.
The video was set to the song “So Easy (To Fall in Love)”. In the throwback photo, the couple beamed as they embraced.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle first met on a blind date in London in early July 2016, arranged by a mutual friend. They quickly connected and, weeks later, Harry invited Markle to join him on a camping trip in Botswana.
The couple’s relationship became public in November 2016. Before that, they enjoyed several months of privacy while Markle was filming “Suits” in Toronto and Harry was living in London.
The couple announced their engagement in November 2017 and married in May 2018. They have two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step down from their roles as senior royals. They moved to Montecito, California, in August 2020, where they currently reside with their children.
