Haley Joel Osment, known for his role in “The Sixth Sense,” was arrested for public intoxication last week. The 37-year-old actor was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 8, in Mammoth Lakes, California, as confirmed by Sergeant Jason Heilman. He mentioned that Osment has since been released from custody.
The Mono County Sheriff’s Office reported that Osment was apprehended by the Mammoth Lakes Police Department, which also released a mugshot of the actor following the incident. Now, the Mono County district attorney will determine whether to move forward with any charges against him.
This isn’t the first time Osment has faced legal troubles. In 2018, he was involved in a verbal altercation at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. Earlier, in 2006, he was charged with misdemeanor drunk driving after a car accident and subsequently pled no contest to DUI and possession of marijuana, leading to three years of probation.
Recently, Osment appeared in the film “Blink Twice,” directed by Zoë Kravitz. His sister, Emily Osment, has also been in the news, sharing that their family faced losses during the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.
