Savannah Guthrie, who hosts the Today show, is talking about her mom, Nancy Guthrie, who has gone missing.
Nancy, who is 84 years old, disappeared on January 31. Police in Arizona are looking for her. They think something bad might have happened and are treating her house as a crime scene. They even said she might have been taken away in the night.
Savannah posted on Instagram to thank everyone for their prayers. She said they believe that when people pray together, it can help. She asked people to keep praying for her mom, who she described as a good and faithful woman.
She also shared a Bible verse about trusting in God to have peace. She ended her post by saying, “Bring her home.”
Police are worried because Nancy has some health problems and needs medicine. They said she is still very sharp mentally, and they don’t think she left on her own.
The police are checking security cameras and looking for clues. They said they know she didn’t just walk away.
Savannah wasn’t on the Today show on Monday because she is in Arizona dealing with this. Someone else filled in for her. Her co-worker told viewers that they were all thinking of Savannah and her mom.
The police said Savannah and her family are helping with the investigation. Other groups, like the FBI, are also helping.
Nancy has brown hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
