This latest “agreement” in Congress is nothing short of a betrayal. After weeks of political posturing, the Senate is expected to pass a measure that funds most of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Speaker Johnson and Senator Thune are patting themselves on the back for this “compromise.” But don’t be fooled. The plan punts the crucial funding for ICE and Border Patrol to a later date. This is a clear victory for the Democrats who want to hamstring our ability to secure the border.

Not all Republicans are onboard with this spineless strategy. Representative Scott Perry rightly called out the plan for what it is: “caving to Democrats.” He understands that defunding CBP and ICE is equivalent to opening our borders wide.

It’s time for more Republicans to show some backbone and fight for what’s right.

Thankfully, President Trump has a plan to cut through the Washington nonsense. He wants to secure permanent funding for ICE and Border Patrol. He aims to make sure these critical agencies are no longer subject to the whims of the Democrats.
Trump wants this done by June 1st. He understands that border security is not a bargaining chip. It’s a fundamental responsibility of the federal government. His message is clear: “We are going to work as fast, and as focused, as possible to replenish funding for our Border and ICE Agents, and the Radical Left Democrats won’t be able to stop us.”

This DHS funding fiasco is a symptom of a much larger problem. Our government is more interested in political games than in protecting its citizens. The left will always try to undermine our border security. Their open border policies endanger our communities, strain our resources, and erode our national identity.
