A man in California is in jail after something terrible happened. Police say he killed his half-brother and then tried to hurt the brother’s kids.
Zackary A. Brodowski, who is 32 years old, is accused of murder and trying to commit murder. The police in Redlands say that on Tuesday, they found Aaron Richard Rivera, who was 36, dead with gunshot wounds.
The police think that Zackary was the one who shot Aaron. They say that family members told them Zackary was involved and that they found evidence at the place where the shooting happened.
They also say that cameras showed Zackary running away from the apartment right after the shooting in a silver car.
What’s even worse, police say that Zackary left the stove on in the apartment while Aaron’s two kids were sleeping inside.
Later, the police found Zackary at his house and arrested him. They say they found the gun used in the shooting and clothes that he was wearing at the time.
Zackary is now in jail and can’t get out on bail. It’s not clear yet if he has a lawyer.
