The loss marked South Carolina’s first defeat in a regular season game since December 2021. UCLA started strong, taking an early lead with a 15-2 score, and they maintained control throughout the first half. Although the Gamecocks made an effort to turn things around in the second half, they ultimately fell to the Bruins with a final score of 77-62.
