Fugitive Arrested in Washington State, Found Hiding Under Child’s Bed
Spokane, WA – A fugitive wanted for violating probation on firearm and assault charges was apprehended in Spokane, Washington, last week by the U.S. Marshals Service. Keantray Davon Bryant-Muellner was discovered hiding beneath a child’s bed, highlighting the lengths some will go to evade justice.
The arrest occurred after members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force surrounded a residence on South Regal Street. After announcing their presence, officers entered the home and, following a careful search, found Bryant-Muellner attempting to conceal himself. He was taken into custody without further incident.
During a subsequent search, law enforcement officials seized a handgun and high-capacity magazines. This discovery underscores the ongoing concern about illegal firearms and their potential connection to violent crime. Responsible gun ownership is a cornerstone of our Second Amendment rights, but the presence of illegal weapons in the hands of criminals poses a serious threat to public safety.
Craig Thayer, the U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Washington, praised the collaborative effort of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in the arrest. “The arrest reflects the strength of our partnerships and the teamwork among local, state, tribal and federal law enforcement agencies,” Thayer stated.
Thayer also emphasized the importance of removing violent offenders and illegal firearms from the streets of Spokane, noting that such actions contribute to safer communities. He stated that “With gun violence continuing to plague Spokane, every violent offender arrested and every firearm taken off the street makes our communities safer.”
This arrest serves as a reminder of the critical role law enforcement plays in upholding the rule of law and protecting our communities. It also highlights the importance of supporting policies that hold criminals accountable for their actions and ensure that justice is served. A strong stance on law and order is essential for maintaining safe and thriving communities where families can raise their children without fear.
The successful apprehension of Bryant-Muellner was a result of the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, with assistance from the FBI, the Spokane Police Department, and the Washington State Department of Corrections.
