Tragic Update on Pheobe Bishop’s Disappearance
The father of Levi, the boyfriend of 17-year-old Australian girl Pheobe Bishop, has shared the emotional impact her disappearance has had on his son. Rick, who has six children, explained that Levi, now 18, is "still traumatized" by the situation. Pheobe was last seen on May 15, and two individuals have been charged in connection with her death.
In a recent interview, Rick revealed that Levi was excited to meet Pheobe at Perth Airport after she was supposed to board a flight from Queensland. However, she never arrived.
"Levi absolutely adored Pheobe," Rick told reporters. They enjoyed long video chats every night and shared many memories. Levi had been looking forward to Pheobe’s visit for weeks and had even bought her a camera worth $1,000 to support her interest in photography. A week before her arrival, he packed a 4WD with camping gear for a trip they had planned.
Rick described their plans to camp on the beach in Esperance, saying, “They were both really excited about that.” He expressed his heartbreak over the lost future the couple could have had together.
Levi’s emotional pain is compounded by past tragedy; he lost his mother in a car crash four years ago.
Authorities have charged two suspects, James Wood, 34, and Tanika Kristan Bromley, 33, with murder and interference with a corpse in connection with Pheobe’s case. They are set to appear in court soon.
On June 6, police announced they believed they had discovered human remains during a search near Good Night Scrub National Park. While these remains have not yet been identified, Pheobe’s mother shared her devastating feelings on social media, stating it was “ripping [her] apart.”
A candlelit vigil was held in Pheobe’s memory on June 8, as those who knew and loved her gathered to remember the young girl.
