NFL Player Adarius Taylor Arrested in Florida Human Trafficking Operation
Former NFL linebacker Adarius Taylor has been arrested in Florida, linked to a significant human trafficking operation, according to local authorities.
The 34-year-old was charged with felony negligent child abuse and misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution. Taylor was among 255 individuals taken into custody during a recent nine-day operation in Polk County.
On May 8, Taylor allegedly responded to an online escort advertisement. In a recording shared by law enforcement, he was seen entering a private area where an undercover detective was present. The detective reportedly asked him about sexual services, to which Taylor initially requested a massage before leaving and being arrested.
Further investigation revealed that Taylor’s 6-year-old child was left alone in a locked Ford F-150 outside the location. Authorities noted that Taylor did not inform them about the child being in the vehicle at the time of his arrest.
Sheriff Grady Judd, detailing the operation’s scope, noted that it involved various criminal components, including human trafficking, child predation, and illegal immigration.
Taylor, once recognized for his commendable NFL career, played for teams like the Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sheriff Judd remarked on Taylor’s troubling choices, emphasizing his decision to bring and leave his young child during such dangerous activities.
The child, who has medical issues including epilepsy, is now with their mother. Judd expressed his disbelief at the situation, highlighting the serious mistakes Taylor had made.
