A little girl, just 5 years old, had a scary experience when a dog attacked her. It happened on January 5th. The girl’s aunt started a page online to help the family with money.
The aunt wrote that the girl, named Jazz, went through something terrible that no child should ever have to go through. A dog attacked her, and her dad, Phil, bravely jumped in to save her. He got hurt too, from the dog bites.
Jazz was hurt so badly that she had to be flown to a bigger hospital. Doctors had to do emergency surgery to save her hand. It was almost lost in the attack, but thankfully, they were able to save it.
The doctors used a vein from Jazz’s leg to help her hand get blood again.
The aunt said that this has been a very scary and life-changing time for Jazz and her family. They have a long road ahead, with lots of doctor bills and therapy. Jazz’s mom needs to take time off work to take care of her. It’s a lot for the family to handle, both with money and emotions.
The online fundraiser has collected some money to help the family.
