Some Reality TV Stars Not Cut Out For Tough Competition
Paige DeSorbo, known for her time on “Summer House,” recently shared that she was asked to join the cast of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” but turned down the offer. DeSorbo, co-host of the “Giggly Squad” podcast, questioned why anyone would think she’d be a good fit for the intense military-style challenges on the Fox show.
“Special Forces” puts celebrities through grueling tasks that mirror actual military training. This season includes fellow Bravo personalities Teresa and Gia Giudice, Brittany Cartwright, and Eva Marcille.
DeSorbo isn’t against all competition shows, though. She thinks she could excel at “British Bake Off,” believing with practice, she could master the art of fondant and take home the win. Her podcast partner, Hannah Berner, suggested DeSorbo would also be a great judge on “Project Runway,” praising her funny and insightful commentary. DeSorbo herself expressed interest in judging “America’s Next Top Model.”
Berner, on the other hand, doesn’t think she’d fare well on dating shows like “The Bachelor.” She fears she’d become too self-conscious and try to stir up rebellion among the contestants. She also admitted that she would be too competitive on shows like “The Challenge”.
DeSorbo recently announced her departure from “Summer House” after seven seasons. She explained that she felt she could no longer fully commit to the show and wanted to explore new opportunities. While she enjoyed her time in reality TV, she’s not planning a return anytime soon, but she is open to it in the future.
