Lily Allen recently shared some personal feelings on stage, with a little help from her friend Dakota Johnson.
During a performance of Allen’s song “Madeline,” which many believe is about a woman who supposedly had an affair with Allen’s former husband, David Harbour, Johnson made a surprise appearance. She acted out the part of the other woman.
As Allen sang, Johnson, standing behind a see-through curtain, said lines like, “I hate that you’re in so much pain right now… He told me that you were aware this was going on and that he had your full consent.”
Johnson also added, “If he’s lying about that, then please let me know. Because I have my own feelings about dishonesty. Lies are not something that I wanna get caught up in.”
Before the song ended, Johnson came out from behind the curtain, walked up to Allen, and gently kissed her cheek. The two then hugged after the song was over.
Allen and Harbour got married in Las Vegas in 2020, with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating the ceremony.
Allen’s new album, “West End Girl,” talks about the couple’s recent split. In the title track, Allen hints at Harbour’s alleged infidelity.
Recently, Allen and Harbour put their Brooklyn home on the market for just under $8 million, not long after announcing their divorce.
