A shocking incident occurred in Sydney where a man woke up to find his wife attacking their three children with a knife. The event took place on the night of March 31, as reported by the police.
The children, aged 10, 13, and 16, were found with stab wounds when emergency services arrived at their home. The mother, who is 47 years old, also suffered from apparent self-inflicted stab wounds. Following the incident, she has been charged with attempted murder.
Detective Superintendent Naomi Moore stated that the father reacted quickly upon hearing screams; he managed to take the knife away from his wife and called the police. The woman was treated at a local hospital after the incident.
Authorities confirmed that the police responded to the house around 5:20 AM and discovered the injured children and their mother. They were treated on-site and then transported to hospitals, where they are now reported to be in stable condition.
