Whitney Cummings, the actress and comedian, has been speaking out about what she sees as hypocrisy among those pushing “woke” ideas in America.
During a recent interview, Cummings, who identifies as a former liberal, highlighted inconsistencies she’s noticed. She said the left once stood for equality and open-mindedness, but has shifted towards a place where “diversity of thought” isn’t welcome.
Cummings pointed out examples like the idea of pushing for a female president while seemingly dismissing the concept of gender altogether. She also questioned the logic of “my body, my choice” when it comes to certain issues, as well as supporting climate change initiatives while living in coastal areas threatened by rising sea levels.
She has previously said that the left has become the “party of censorship,” and that comedians are now seen as the enemy.
