Columbia Town Hall Discusses City Improvements for 2024
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Mayor Daniel Rickenmann and local district leaders hosted a Town Hall meeting on Monday evening to share updates on city improvements achieved so far this year and future plans.
During the meeting, Mayor Rickenmann reported a significant decline in crime rates, noting a 45% drop in shootings. The discussion also highlighted the city’s need for enhanced housing investments and potential plans to utilize abandoned lots for housing developments.
Finlay Park is on track for completion by this time next year. Additionally, the Mayor shared intentions to enhance investments in bike and walking paths, along with improvements to public transportation services.
